Named after a fallen West Palm Beach police officer, Brian H. Chappell Park (also known as Poinsettia Park) is a nice place for quiet reflection. The park is situated right along the Intracoastal Waterway, and along a fairly quiet road, unlike some others (Trinity Park, for example) that lie on busy boulevards. There is a small fishing pier, a short walking path, and benches. I used to live less than a block down the street from this park, and to be honest, the neighborhood was kind of scary then. I haven't been back recently, but I used to stroll down for a few minutes while my dinner was cooking for a little outdoor thought time.
