Built in 1902, Henry Morrison Flagler's Whitehall Estate on Palm Beach has become the Flagler Museum. A walk through the enormous estate reveals rooms decorated in a number of different period styles, all elaborate and almost overwhelming! Framed photos with descriptions tell the tale of Henry Flagler, co-founder of Standard Oil. Flagler's ornate private railcar is on exhibit along the Intracostal Waterway. The Museum is host to a number of lecture and music series, as well as special temporary exhibits. The first floor is wheelchair accessible, and the cafe' serves a fixed-price lunch daily. Group tours are available, as is dicounted admission for children.
