Fruit and Spice Park
The Fruit and Spice Park in Homestead (near Miami) is one-of-a-kind in the US! This 35-acre park features more than 500 rare and exotic nuts, spices, herbs, and fruits. The park hosts classes and workshops, and offers guided tours. Best of all, you can sample all of the fruits, either those fallen on the ground (no picking from the trees, please!), or at the tasting table in the Welcome Center. You can also arrange to take cuttings or seeds for planting your own crop.The park is open from 10AM to 5PM daily, closed only on Christmas. Guided tours are at 11AM, 1:30PM and 3PM. Admission is $1.50 for children twelve and under (children under six get in free), and $5 for adults.
