Hosford Park is a small park that sits on the South Fork of the St. Lucie River in Stuart. It's really only a "park" in that there's a little bit of land and a single picnic shelter - no playground or restrooms or even a water fountain. We visited specifically to check out the boat ramp.
The boat ramp has a courtesy dock, and it looks like mostly small boats launch from here. There's no real marked parking, just space in the middle of the drive, and I guess you could park on the grass on the edges, too. This is apparently a popular place for launching canoes and kayaks (there's a dedicated launch on the courtesy dock), and a local stand-up paddleboard club practices for longer trips by launching here.
The river is wild and winding, and it really is a nice trip, but we determined that it would be a difficult launch for our 19' Key West, and we'd be safer using other nearby ramps.
