Istokpoga Park is a nice little park at the north end of Lake Istokpoga. The main draw of this park seems to be the boat ramp into the lake and the accompanying boardwalk, but the picnic area is stunning, with huge Spanish-moss-draped trees towering overs the tables and grills. There's also a short boardwalk between the parking lot and the boat ramp, and another off the main docking boardwalk with access to nature trails. The boat ramp at Istokpoga Park was quite popular the day we visited! There's parking for at least 60 trailers, and all the spaces were full; fortunately, there's plenty of room for overflow parking on the grass. There's tons of courtesy docking, too. The ramp puts you into Lake Istokpoga, and judging from the type of boats we saw, I'd guess the bass fishing is fantastic! The park is open sunrise to sunset. Istokpoga Park is situated off of Highway 98 between Sebring and Lorida.
