Loggerhead Park

This great park is home to the North District Beach Patrol Headquarters and the Celestial Railroad Historical Site. In addition to 900 feet of guarded beach, you'll find many other ways to spend your time - try some saltwater fishing; play a little tennis, volleyball, or even horseshoes; take a walk on the nature trail; visit the activity center; or simply laze in the sun while you wait for you lunch to grill at one of the picnic shelters. Much of the park is handicapped-accessible, and it is open from sunrise to sunset, except for the lighted facilities, which are open until 11:00 PM. The beach is a quick walk across a two-lane road and down the dune. Another cool attraction housed at Loggerhead Park is Loggerhead Marinelife Center.
