Halpatiokee Park

Halpatiokee Park

Halpatiokee Park in Stuart is a park mostly dedicated to sports fields, but we visited specifically for the nature trails. As part of the Florida Trail, the nature trails at Halpatiokee follow the SW fork of the St Lucie River for almost eight miles through a hardwood hammock. With bridges and picnic spots along the way, as well as a canoe/kayak launch, this is one of the nicest trail segments in South Florida. Halpatiokee Park has fields for soccer and baseball, as well as paved paths for skating and running. There are restrooms, and a childrens' playground. (Halpatiokee Park continued)
