Located in West Palm Beach, the Palm Beach Maritime Museum comprised four facilities at several different locations: first, an educational center and ferry dock at Currie Park in West Palm Beach; second, a marine science field office and dock situated on the Intracoastal Waterway; third, several Peanut Island attractions, including the President John F. Kennedy Bomb Shelter (which just opened to the public in 2006); and fourth, a marine charter school on Dixie Highway.
The main museum at the education center is a major attraction, housing exhibits from the wreck of the Battleship Maine.
