Vitolo Family Park North is a 64-acre wetland preserve that sits along the Indian River Lagoon. The "park" is pretty much a strip of raised land with the lagoon on one side, and mangroves (in water) on the others, punctuated by a mosquito control thing and a couple structures.
When you enter the park, you're greeted with an observations tower with a nice view of Indian River Lagoon. Going north on the trail you come to a short fishing pier. Parking is a little weird, with no designated lot, and cars just sort of pulled over along the entry drive.
This is one of a series of parks along South Ocean Drive in Fort Pierce. Vitolo Family Park is nice, but probably not the best of the parks on this same stretch.
