Burt Reynolds Park

Burt Reynold Park covers over 35 acres in northern Palm Beach county and houses the Florida History Museum and the Jupiter/Tequesta Chamber of Commerce. The park runs along 2000 feet of the Intracoastal Waterway, and there are six ramps for boat launching. There are picnic shelters, some with grills, and saltwater fishing is permitted.

Launching a boat at Burt Reynolds is great, although it can get quite crowded. There's a long courtesy dock, plenty of overflow parking, and even designated lanes for launching and prep, and landing. We frequently dock here and stroll through the park - there are some great picnic spots right along the Intracoastal.

Burt Reynolds Park is split into two halves, East and West. Both sides received an expansion of their courtesy docks (which were immediately commandeered by shore fishermen) in 2007. The East side also received a parking lot expansion, I am not sure how many trailer spaces it currently has.

East Burt Reynolds Park's boat launch capabilities are limited by the bridge just south of the park (not by the bridge adjacent to the ramp). The West side has no limitation, but it is typically the launch spot of the Cranky Old Fishermen. COF will allegedly issue death threats if you take more than 30 seconds to launch or land your boat, despite them taking 20+ minutes every time I have watched. Trailer theft is unusually high on the west side. The East side is the site of the most novice boat landings I have seen in South Florida. I've watched more Kia Sportages trying to pull out with 21' foot boats in tow than I have seen anywhere else. And yes, every single person will unload their boat into the car while sitting in the slip.

Burt Reynolds Park is as close to the Jupiter Inlet as it gets. Further south on the intracoastal are Juno Park and Bert Winters Park. Jupiter Inlet has capsized many boats, local knowledge is required.
