Indian Riverside Park

Indian Riverside Park 2010 Update: The boat dock was damaged in a storm and is closed.

Indian Riverside Park sits along the Intracoastal Waterway in Jensen Beach. We arrived via boat and parked at one of the five or six courtesy slips, then walked the long dock/boardwalk to the park.

The park is nice, with a walking path, a small beach, picnic areas, and an interactive water fountain. It's also home to the Mansion at Tuckahoe and the Children’s Museum of the Treasure Coast. However, we visited in late July, and the park was absolutely overrun with children playing in the fountain. The restrooms were hot and clearly undersized. The Frances Langford Pavilion was undergoing construction. It was also low tide when we were there, and the beach opened up to a drained grassy area with tiny rivers of water running through it. The last courtesy slip's dock was broken off at the end.

I had high hopes for this park, and they unfortunately were not met, maybe due to the heat and tide. I'm willing to try it again when it gets cooler and the construction is done, and the mansion is open for viewing, but for now I'm not going to recommend it.
