Loxahatchee River Center is right off US 1 in Jupiter. This cozy nature center is focused on - what else - the Loxahatchee River and its history. I visited just a year after the 2008 opening, and to be honest, I wasn't all that impressed. There were a couple of neat aquariums, and really, that was about it. I suppose it could be more aimed at school and camp groups than the general public, but I'll be making another trip soon, and will report back, hopefully with a better experience; they've had several years to add and improve.
Loxahatchee River Center sits just inside the popular Burt Reynolds Park in Jupiter and is open Tuesday-Saturday, 9AM to 4PM. There is no admission fee, but donations are appreciated.
