Ocean Ridge Natural Area

A great attraction along a Palm Beach County Intracoastal Waterway ride is Ocean Ridge Natural Area. Opened in late 2006, the beautiful park has been painstakingly restored to include many native species and a natural tidal flow. A two-story viewing platform gives visitors a splendid view of the surrounding area, and a 1300-foot nature trail winds through (and over!) the wetlands. Adjacent to a larger nature preserve, this park is only accessible by boat; the basin is about five feet deep, and has docking for around nine boats on floating concrete docks.

The park is located 1/3 mile south of the Ocean Ave. Bridge, just past (and across the Intracoastal from) Two George's Waterfront Grille and the Banana Boat restaurant (also, about the same distance north of the SE 15th St. Bridge). The point mapped is approximate.
