Playmobil FunPark

We all know Playmobil - the wonderfully intricate yet incredibly sturdy play sets. Well here, they all come out of the box! Playmobil FunPark, the exterior of which resembles a castle, is a perfect place for kids to spend a rainy afternoon. The play space is set up in themes, including nearly every currently available set of toys. From pirates to police, farms to fairy tales, your kids can play here, hands-on, with all of the pieces, for longer than you might want to stay! Better yet, get down and play with them! When you need a snack, head for the vending machine, or have the staff order pizza for you. The FunPark offers monthly themed events, and hosts incredible birthday parties as well. Of course, there is a shop where you can purchase the day's favorite sets. Admission fee is about $1.00 per person.

We went there without a kid and they still let us play with the Playmobil toys. The detail on this stuff is really incredible and certainly unparalleled in plastic toys. The play environment was equally over-the-top... there were water areas with pirate ships floating in them, islands with countless Playmobil "sets" constructed on them, dollhouses, etc. I am personally a huge fan of their heavy equipment, particularly their cranes. The detail rivals that of high-end die cast models.

Approximate price: $1.00 per person
