Sago Park

Sago Park Sago Park sits on a man-made lake just off of 10th Ave N between Davis and Congress in Palm Springs. It's a large park for the area, with lots of land, big trees, and benches lining the lake. There's a picnic pavilion (available by reservation), picnic tables, a small play structure, swings, and volleyball courts. There's also a fishing pier.

This park has been around at least since my husband was young (late 70's), and really looks like there hasn't been much done to it since. The lake is muddy, the tables and benches old, and I just feel like the village could do so much more with this space. Still, I like the park - it's fairly peaceful in spite of being surrounded by a church and neighborhoods, with only the occasional backyard radio marring the serenity.

Sago Park was popular the day we visited, hosting a big birthday party complete with bouncehouse. There is official parking for about 10 cars, but there's lots of room aside the incoming road. The park is open from dawn to dusk.
